Unique Characteristics

Wood is a natural material, and therefore every piece will have unique features and texture. Just as no two trees are alike, any imperfections add to the “one-of-a-kind” nature of the item. Variations in colour, as well as dark or light spots, holes, knots and cracks are to be expected and are not considered to be defects.

In addition, our painted pieces are created one at a time by hand, no stickers or stencils are used. Each painting is unique and may have slight differences, which we believe adds to the distinctive charm of our products.

Shape and size

Each item is inspected carefully for material faults, beyond the inconsistencies of natural materials, before preparing your order. While we do our best to provide accurate measurements in our descriptions, the actual dimensions in the product may vary due to the natural shape and characteristics of each piece of wood.

Caring for your product

Wood acclimatizes to its environment and will expand and contract depending on the temperature and humidity level it is exposed to. Extreme changes in humidity or temperature may result in cracks or changes to the appearance of the wood - this is a natural occurrence and part of the organic nature of these products.

To minimize these changes, we advise you to keep the item in consistent, stable conditions and to keep it away from heat sources such as radiators or ovens, as well as direct sunlight. Exposure to UV light over long periods can lighten the wood and alter the colours of painted designs.

To keep your item looking fresh, dust it regularly and wipe with a damp cloth to remove dirt or grime. It is expected that coasters will come into contact with moisture from time to time, but they should not be submerged or soaked in liquids; please remove excess liquids with a cloth to prevent staining.
